About the internship

Kuehne+Nagel Contract Logistics Born provides logistics solutions for the high-tech industry. Our operation focuses on managing warehouse and logistics processes in a dynamic environment, where efficiency, quality and continuous improvement are key.

We are continuously looking for opportunities to make our processes smarter, more efficient and more effective. Therefore, we offer students the opportunity to work on a real operational process optimization challenge within our warehouse operation.

Your assignment

Rather than offering one fixed research topic, we would like to define the assignment together with you.

Based on your study program, interests and learning objectives, we will identify a relevant operational challenge that fits both your academic requirements and our business environment.

Possible areas of research include:

• Warehouse process optimization
• Reduction of unnecessary movements and handling
• Productivity and performance improvement
• Optimization of material and product flows
• Data-driven process analysis
• Layout and workflow optimization
• Lean and continuous improvement
• Quality and operational efficiency
• Standardization of operational processes
• Automation and digitalization opportunities

During your internship or graduation project, you will have the opportunity to analyze an existing process, identify improvement opportunities and develop practical recommendations that can make a real difference in our operation.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an HBO or WO student with an interest in logistics, supply chain management, process improvement or operations.

You are curious, analytical and motivated to understand how processes work in practice. Most importantly, you enjoy working on a real business challenge and turning your analysis into practical improvements.
