About the internship

Kuehne+Nagel Contract Logistics Born provides logistics solutions for the high-tech industry. Our operation focuses on managing warehouse and logistics processes in a dynamic environment, where safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement are key.

As an Operations Management Intern, you will become part of our operational team and gain hands-on experience in the daily management of a warehouse operation.

This is not an internship where you will only observe from the sidelines. You will work alongside our operational teams, learn how day-to-day logistics processes are managed and actively contribute to improving our operation.

What will you do?

During your internship, you will support and work alongside the Operations Management team. Depending on your interests, experience and study requirements, your activities may include:

• Supporting the daily management of warehouse operations
• Monitoring operational performance and KPIs
• Analysing productivity, quality and process performance
• Supporting daily operational meetings and follow-up actions
• Identifying bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Working together with different departments and operational teams
• Helping to improve and standardize operational processes
• Participating in projects within the warehouse operation
• Translating operational data into practical insights and actions

You will get the opportunity to see how people, processes, systems and performance come together in a real logistics environment.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an HBO or WO student with an interest in logistics, supply chain, operations management or business administration.

You are:

• Interested in working in a dynamic operational environment

• Interested in both the operational and management side of logistics
• Motivated to take responsibility and contribute with your own ideas
